Rob Bell

Ok, so I finished my second, and probably my last, Rob Bell book.

I know I said that 50% of "Velvet Elvis" was really good. However, this one was kind of a disappointment. I mean some stuff was educational but I found it hard to find anything that was really useful.

"Searching for God Knows What" and "Jesus Wants to Save Christians"

I had read "Blue like Jazz" a couple of years ago and last weekend I read "Searching for God knows What" honestly I have to say that for the time being he is officially my favorite christian author. Donald Miller qualifies in my opinion as one of the Christian phylosophers of our time, he will force you to think and examine what it is that you believe about God and the meaning of life.

Read them!

I don't know if I should recommend this book or not.

50% of it is just some really weird theology.

However, the other 50% I found fascinating.

Ok.

This is the best Book I've read this year.

Isn't it crazy to think that God actually lives in us?

Think about it, that shouldn't leave us indifferent.

This is a book that a preacher from New York wrote on evangelism.

If you are a preacher or church planter I recommend this book. Very "hands on" very practical.

Man! What a great book. Chuck Swondoll is a master at word pictures and bringing Jesus to life in a practical way.

Sharing your Faith

I just finished these books.

Even though "Just Walk Across the Room" is much better written than "Becoming a Contagious Christian" they both have made me rethink the way a go about sharing my faith.

In one phrase: I NEED TO STOP MAKING UP EXCUSES AND BOLDLY SHARE MY FAITH WHILE TRYING NOT TO BE OBNOXIOUS period!

Courageous Leadership

Great read. Easy read.

Bill Hybels (the author) is the pastor of one of the most influential Christian Churches in America, Willow Creek.

I learned some great stuff about leadership and also discovered a leadership flaw I didn't know I had.

Definitely recommend this book to all you Christian leaders out there.

A book on Prayer

What a great book on the power of prayer.

This is a book on how Jim Cymbala, the founder of the Brooklin Tabernacle (the one with that awesome choir) started this amazing Church.

He did it mainly on his knees, seriously.

Very inspiring.

It's a short and easly read.

Growing a Church

This is a book of stats. It's a series of surveys taken in america to the unchurched. However, it's an easy read and very useful for ministry. Especially for those church planters out there.

Irresistable Revolution

Very interesting book.

This guy is a nut, but he has done some pretty remarkable stuff in his life, like spending time in Iraq sharing God's love and a whole year in Calcutta with Mother Theresa.

Fun read.

Sort the good from the bad and I believe it will be a helpful book for your Christian Walk.

Ok, if you are at all interested in how the whole concept of leadership has dramatically changed in the last 10 years you've got to read this book!!

I recomend it, but I warn you... Seth Godin is a basket case.

But he's right on the money.

Assumptions

The power of assumptions amazes me: "I'm too old", "I'm too young", it's never been done that way before." You can ether hang on to your assumptions or hang on to God. You can't do both, you have to choose.

The Truth Project

I've been going to this for 7 weeks now.

I love it!! And I recommend it.

It has made me think seriously about what it is that I truly believe about God and learn His purpose and how He interacts with his creation.

Seriously awesome.

It will make you ask yourself the following question: "Do you believe that what you believe is really real?"

If you have a chance go to it!

This book just doesn't get old.

Back to the basics.

If you have not yet read this one. Man, you will love the way C.S Lewis just lays out the basics of what we belive.
